RFQ: GRANT WRITER(S)

The Area 20 Workforce Development Board is requesting qualifications for grant writer(s) to lead efforts in applying for a grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This grant will increase the public health workforce in rural communities, namely the eight counties served by the Area 14 and Area 20 Workforce Development Boards.

 

Those counties include:

  • Athens County
  • Fairfield County
  • Hocking County
  • Meigs County
  • Perry County
  • Pickaway County
  • Ross County
  • Vinton County

 

Grant writers will collaborate with the Area Workforce Boards, local hospitals, education institutions, and community-based organizations to complete the grant. The grant will focus on the creation of three respiratory therapy labs and programming and potentially community health support programs. The grant writers will be responsible for writing all sections of the grant with input from the Local Workforce Boards and other partners. The grant writers will submit the grant on behalf of the Local Workforce Boards.

Information should be submitted to Rick Szabrak, Executive Director of the Area 20 Workforce Development Board, by 10 a.m. on January 24, via email at Rick.Szabrak@FairfieldCountyOhio.gov. The following information is requested and should be no more than one page long:

  • Name of individual or firm
  • Location of individual or firm
  • Years of experience writing grants
  • Experience in writing HHS grants
  • Experience and/or knowledge of counties that are served
  • List of successful grants
  • Hourly rate
  • Projected cost for project (estimated 60-to-100 hours)
