Property Tax Overview
Roughly $55.8 million in property taxes is collected each year (excluding library levies).
All millage has been approved by voters with the exception of the 2.6 mills which are inside millage for the county. This is not voted on, but is provided for in the Ohio Constitution.
The millage rate of 2.6 has not changed in over nine decades. This is used to support basic governmental operations such as law enforcement, court services, maintenance of buildings, and other essential services.
