Dave Levacy
Commissioner Dave Levacy was elected Commissioner in December 2012.  Commissioner Levacy is a lifelong resident of Fairfield County.  He attended Bishop Fenwick and Ohio University with studies in business. Commissioner Levacy is a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1965 to 1967.  Before and after his Army service, Dave was employed by Anchor Hocking Glass in the accounting department. In 1970 Dave joined Millersport Marina and subsequently purchased the company in 1990.  Changing the name to Buckeye Lake Marina, he continues to operate the business today.

Commissioner Levacy also served with Millersport/Walnut Township Fire Department as a paramedic and as Chief.  After retiring from the Fire Department, Dave served as Millersport Village Council President for 12 years.  Dave also serves on the Fairfield County Republican Executive Committee.  Dave has served as past President of the Buckeye Lake for Tomorrow, the State of Ohio Marine Dealers Association and the Central Ohio Marine Dealers Association.

With his duties as Commissioner, Dave serves on the following committees: Fairfield County Board of Revision, CFLP Solid Waste District, Multi-County Juvenile Detention Center Joint Board, Revolving Loan Fund Committee, 9-1-1 Technical Committee, RC & D Executive Committee, Workforce Investment Board (WIB/WIA), Regional Planning Fairfield County Tax Incentive Review Council (TIRC), Family Adult Children First Council (FACF), Prevention Works and GIS Committee.

Commissioner Levacy resides in Millersport with his wife Ann of over 50 years.  They have three children, Amy, Aaron and Tim. They have four grandchildren and are members of Walnut Creek Baptist Church.
