The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners has officially voted to support State Issue 2, which will appear on the May 6 ballot, urging residents to vote in favor of renewing the State Capital Improvement Program (SCIP). This long-standing program provides critical funding for local infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, water systems, and wastewater treatment facilities—without raising taxes.

Fairfield County is proud to announce the development of Emerald Place, a 216-unit income-aligned housing community that will bring high-quality, affordable living options to Lancaster. Developed by LDG Development LLC, this project represents their first venture into the Ohio market.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ANNOUNCE SERVICE RATE FREEZE FOR COUNTY UTILITIES CUSTOMERS
The Fairfield County Commissioners are pleased to announce a freeze on both water and sewer usage rates. The current water and sewer rates for Fairfield County Utilities will remain the same for customers through 2025.
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners has been awarded a Neighborhood Revitalization Grant for PY 2024 under the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG). This grant will fund various community improvements within the Village of Breman. The Fairfield County Commissioners are also providing a portion of its PY 2024 CDBG Allocation Funds towards these projects. The total project amount for all the proposed improvements is $800,900.
FAIRFIELD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APPROVES 2025 BUDGET
Today, the Board of Fairfield County Commissioners approved the county expenditure budget for 2025. The 2025 general fund budget, which covers expenditures for daily operations of county services, was approved at $68.5 M, an approximate 5.3% decrease from the current budget, which included several one-time capital projects, such as the Sheridan Center and other capital improvements.
