FAIRFIELD COUNTY ELECTRIC AGGREGATION PROGRAM
Fairfield County citizens in the Villages of Baltimore, Millersport, and Rushville, as well as the Townships of Pleasant, Richland, and Walnut, have begun receiving notice in the mail of the Fairfield County Electric Aggregation Program renewal. The new term for AEP customers will be from January 2025-December 2025 with a fixed rate of $0.07097/kWh. Citizens in the areas listed previously will be receiving an opt-out letter from Constellation in the mail. If you wish to participate in the program, then no further action is required. If you wish to not participate, either return the form in the pre-addressed stamped envelope, call Constellation at 844-465-2201, or visit www.constellation.com/oh-fairfieldcounty. FAIRFIELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ANNOUNCE NEW BRAND FOR TRANSIT SYSTEM
During the State of the County, the Fairfield County Commissioners announced they were engaging the community and inviting residents to participate in the “Brand the Bus” initiative to find a new name for the transit system. They wanted a name that would highlight the benefits that Lancaster-Fairfield Public Transit provides its passengers, whether it’s getting them to their jobs, medical appointments, or other essentials in life that necessitate transportation.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ANNOUNCE 10% DISCOUNT FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND VETERANS
The Fairfield County Commissioners are proud to offer a new discount program designed to assist senior citizens and veteran customers of utility services. The Senior and Veteran Assistance (SAVA) Program will provide qualifying customers with a 10% monthly reduction on water and sewer services.
PROTECTING OHIO’S VETERANS: FAIRFIELD COUNTY RECORDER LISA MCKENZIE CAUTIONS VETERANS TO BE AWARE OF EXPLOITATIVE PRACTICES
Fairfield County Recorder, Lisa McKenzie, and the Ohio Recorders’ Association (ORA) urges Veterans to be aware of exploitative practices targeting Military Veterans who are being charged for services that are available for free. DD214 Direct, a company based in Arizona, is currently soliciting veterans in Ohio to purchase a copy of their DD214 form for a fee ranging from $79 to $99. While this practice may be legal, Recorder McKenzie and other County Recorders across Ohio want to ensure that Veterans are informed about the free services they are entitled to.
