Commissioner Steve Davis discusses Fairfield County's 2025–2028 strategic plan and the national recognition it has earned. He explains how the plan commits the Board to work well beyond what the Ohio Revised Code requires — workforce development, residential and multi-family housing supply, and transit — and how the county serves as a facilitator, bringing townships, municipalities, and other partners together to plan for the future as one community. Commissioner Davis also highlights an award for the county's stop-loss program, part of a long-running effort to hold down health insurance costs shared by employees, who have named Fairfield County one of the best places to work five years running. With the county among Ohio's fourth- or fifth-fastest growing for nearly two decades, he emphasizes that delivering for taxpayers takes a plan — and following through on every commitment the Board makes.
