Fairfield County Common Pleas Court

Two Judges, Richard E. Berens and David A. Trimmer, preside over the General Division of the Common Pleas Court. Each was elected by the citizens of Fairfield County to administer justice and oversee the functions of the Court. They are supported by a Magistrate and Court Administrator, staff attorneys and bailiffs, assignment commissioners, and judicial assistants.

The Court also oversees the Adult Community Control Department - commonly known as the Probation Department - which supervises individuals placed on community control throughout the county. For staff contacts and roles, see About the Court.
