Tax Levies & Valuations

Tax rates and valuations by political subdivision — a useful tool for governments, taxpayers, real estate professionals, accountants, and investors.

The Fairfield County Auditor's Office prepares Tax FAQs each year listing tax rates and valuations by political subdivision. Political subdivisions include schools, townships, villages, cities, and the county, as well as certain boards and agencies. This information is a useful tool for a range of stakeholders:

  • Government entities and political subdivisions — for budgeting and planning around the tax revenues that fund public services.
  • Taxpayers (individuals and businesses) — who pay taxes based on these rates and valuations and may participate in the Board of Revision process.
  • Real estate professionals — appraisers, brokers, and agents who rely on rate information for their work.
  • Accountants and tax advisors — who help clients navigate tax information.
  • Investors — particularly in real estate, where rates and valuations directly affect return on investment.
