How To Adopt
In order to adopt you must fill out the Dog Adoption Form. Dog Adoption Forms are taken on a “first come, first serve basis” per each dog. Dog Adoption Forms can be filled out at any time and it does not hold the individual to actually adopting the dog. Once your Dog Adoption Form is processed you can either take the dog home right away or there will be a 24 hour holding period in order to give you time to prepare your home for the dog. The Adoption Fee is $125.00 (including license) and can be paid with either cash or charge card. You must have a valid photo ID in order to complete an adoption.
Dog Adoption Forms may be submitted electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please use "Dog Adoption Form" as the subject line in the email.
The adoptable dogs at FCDACS are spayed or neutered and have their initial vaccinations for Rabies (if old enough), Distemper-Parvo, and Bordetella. They also have been tested for heartworm (if old enough) and de-wormed. The adoption fee includes a registered microchip as well as the 1 year Fairfield County Dog License.
