Changes in revised code affects Personal Property Taxes.

Welcome to our website. We hope you will find it informative.

The County Auditor's responsibilities are varied as set forth in the Ohio Revised Code, and include being the chief fiscal officer of the county and the tax assessor among others. However, contrary to popular belief, the one thing the County Auditor does not have the legal authority to do is audit anyone. That is the responsibility of the Auditor of State.

To explain what the county auditor really does, we have put together a great deal of information and included many useful items which we believe will be helpful in your dealings with our office.

You will find forms that you can fill out and return to us along with contact information so you can e-mail a message or call us on the phone. You will also find our mailing address for any correspondence.

One of our newest features is the attachment of our real estate and tax data to this web site. You can also access this information directly at realestate.co.fairfield.oh.us. Please DO NOT USE WWW before you put in this address.

Another new feature is our Dog Tags online. You can purchase your dog tag online by clicking onto "FIDOS" (above).  You can also check the tag of a lost dog to find its owner using the same program.

We hope you will find what you're looking for. Thanks for "dropping by."
